ATLANTA – The Fresh Market (TFM: NASDAQ), a specialty grocery chain with 158 stores in 26 states across the country, recently announced plans to open a new store at the former Loehmann’s Plaza in Atlanta, and rebrand it to Brighten Park. The Fresh Market has signed a lease with Regency Centers Corporation (NYSE: REG) to jumpstart the development at the intersection of North Druid Hills and Briarcliff Roads.
The Fresh Market store is set to open in the summer of 2015. It will be the chain’s 13th store in Georgia. The new grocery store will occupy a 24,400 square foot space formerly the Loehmann’s Department Store, joining several other tenants, including Panera Bread, Zoe’s Kitchen, and Starbucks.
