Groundbreaking Ceremony To Be Held For New 7-Eleven Store in Essex County, NJ

A Groundbreaking Ceremony will be held for a new Essex County, NJ convenience store location this month. It will be constructed at 247 Freeway Drive East in East Orange at the corner of South Arlington Avenue. The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 14th, at 12.30 p.m.

Lester E. Taylor III Mayor of East Orange says that they are excited about the new development and are eagerly waiting to witness the dynamic transformation of the city as new businesses are coming to their place.

The standalone store will have a free parking lot. The official sponsor of the event, City of East Orange, says that the new store will be the first franchise of its kind in its city and the groundbreaking will be a community celebration of efforts to revitalize East Orange.

Notable attendees will include Mayor Taylor, members of the East Orange City Council, East Orange Department of Policy, Planning and Development Director Valerie Jackson, and representatives from 7-Eleven.  12,000 motorists pass by the area daily, which is considered to be a Transit Village as it is served by NJ Transit trains and buses.

A Holiday Inn Express hotel will open in the neighborhood within the next few years.
