Founded in 1979 by Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was built on the idea that the best food comes from kitchens that cook from, well, scratch. By using quality ingredients and time, a meal "not only tastes better, it makes you feel good," (cheddars.com).
Acquired by Darden Restaurants, Inc. in 2017, Cheddar's 165 locations, 140 of which are owned and twenty-five of which are franchised, spans throughout twenty-eight states (darden.com). Ian Baines sits as Cheddar's CEO.
Cheddar's menu of "simple, honest, natural ingredients" include appetizers, salads, homemade soups, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, house smoke baby back ribs, chicken, fish, kids meals, desserts and more. The bar is fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine, hand-crafted margaritas and specialty cocktails.
