About Brio Tuscan Grille

Brio Italian Grille, originally known as Brio Tuscan Grille, is a well-regarded full-service Italian restaurant that offers an upscale-casual dining experience. The restaurant is celebrated for its Tuscan-inspired menu, which features fresh-grilled proteins, seasonal ingredients, and classic northern Italian dishes, all complemented by an extensive wine selection. The dining environment is lively yet sophisticated, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

The brand's journey began in Columbus, Ohio, in 1992 when Rick and Chris Doody, alongside chef Phil Yandolino, founded the Bravo Brio Restaurant Group. The first Brio location opened in 1999 at Easton Town Center, following the success of the Bravo Cucina Italiana concept. Over the years, Brio expanded its presence nationally, becoming a popular choice in high-traffic retail and lifestyle centers across the United States.

As of November 2025, Brio Italian Grille operates 28 locations in 12 states, including Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, and Utah. The brand has maintained its commitment to offering a refined yet approachable dining experience with a menu that includes steaks, seafood, pasta, and flatbreads.

In August 2025, Brio entered a new phase under the ownership of R&R Brands, a multi-concept hospitality group. This acquisition followed a period of restructuring after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. R&R Brands has embarked on a revitalization strategy for Brio, focusing on modernizing operations, refreshing the menu, and enhancing the overall guest experience. This renewed approach is aimed at positioning Brio for selective growth in both existing and new markets, with a particular interest in high-traffic retail and mixed-use centers in major metropolitan and suburban areas.

Brio's established reputation and flexible dining format make it an attractive option for landlords and developers looking to enrich the dining offerings in shopping centers and mixed-use projects. The brand's adaptability and focus on operational excellence under new management ensure that Brio remains a significant player in the full-service Italian dining segment.
