About Intermix

Intermix Media began in 1998 as an internet startup founded by Brett Brewer and his partners in Manhattan Beach, California. The company’s original focus was e-commerce, selling entertainment products like movies, music, and games online. A defining moment for Intermix came in 2003 with the launch of Myspace, created by employees Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe. In July 2005, News Corporation acquired Intermix Media for $580 million. After the acquisition, Intermix ceased independent operations and has not engaged in further expansion or real estate activity.

As of November 2025, Intermix does not operate any stores or maintain a physical footprint, and there have been no recent developments in terms of market entry or growth initiatives.
