A new shopping center in Fort Lauderdale is all set to come up with a Fresh Market grocery store. It will be the shopping center's anchor tenant. Construction is on full swing at 3800 N Federal Highway building. The center measures around 30,575 square foot which is just a few blocks north of Coral Ridge Mall a Publix grocery store.

Apart from that, the upcoming center is also set to open Posh Nails Salon, two other retailers and a bank on an out parcel. However names of other retailers and bank were not disclosed. Vice president of marketing for Stiles, the Fort Lauderdale based company developing the project, Adrienne Zalkind says that it is expected to open for business early next year and rest of the retailers by the mid of 2016.

The center will be within a strip along North Federal Highway lined with mattress and furniture stores. Fresh Market which is based in North Carolina also plans to open in Boca Raton Early next year at Park Place a development on North Military Trail, north of Yamato Road. The company has more than 160 stores nationwide. It includes one which is about five miles south of the one under construction in Fort Lauderdale.

South Florida is witnessing an increase in grocery chains as there has been a consistent growth of population over the years.

Trader Joe's is expecting to open eight stores from Miami Dade to Palm Beach counties by the end of next year. A couple of years back it had none. Whole Foods market has also added stores in Miami, Pompani beach and West Palm Beach. Tunie will also open its first store this summer near Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale.
