SARATOGA SPRINGS – The Fresh Market recently broke the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony in Saratoga Springs when it opened its newest store at the 52 Marion Avenue in a fresh new style. The opening ceremony attended by the members of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce saw the Mayor slice a huge wheel of Parmesan cheese –in line with the Fresh Market’s tradition popularly known as the “cracking of the Parmesan”.

The 2,400 sq. ft. Saratoga store is expected to offer shoppers a wide variety of fresh foods for the whole family as well as special gourmet options including organic, vegetarian and gluten-free. The stores, innovative design, soft lighting, piped music are meant to offer shoppers an unmatched shopping experience, high-quality customer service and great value for their money.

“Thank you for choosing Saratoga Springs for your new store,” said the Mayor Joanne Yepsen. “This project has been in the works for a long time, and it’s good to see it come to fruition.”

The Marion Avenue store is the chain’s 182nd location. Besides offering fresh and yummy foods, the store will also create about 90 new jobs.
