Nordstrom, Inc. announced plans to open a new, two-level Nordstrom Rack at 1600 Commons in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The new 36,000 square foot store is being developed by Halvorsen Holdings and plans to open in the fall 2016.

Due to recent development along the coastline, the Nordstrom Rack will neighbor upscale name-brand retailers such as Office Depot as well as the first Trader Joe's to open in Fort Lauderdale.

Once open, it will be the ninth Nordstrom Rack in the south Florida area. The design will mimic other stores with a relaxed feel offering a softer approach to rack shopping.
